How to Submit a Reunion Announcement

Before You Start

Your reunion announcement needs to be in PDF format. If you're creating it in Word, Publisher, or any other program, export or save it as a PDF before proceeding. The system reads the PDF to extract your event title, date, and location automatically — so the more clearly that information appears in your document, the better.

Name your file something descriptive like A-4 Skyhawk Reunion 2026.pdf or VMA-214 Reunion 2027.pdf. Avoid generic names like "newsletter.pdf" — you'll be uploading multiple newsletters over time and the name helps keep them organized.

Upload Your PDF

Go to this URL — bookmark it, you'll use it for future reunions too:

Contact Blade for the upload URL.

You do not need to log in or create an account.

On the page you will see two fields:

Your Email Address — Enter the email address where you want to receive confirmation and your private management link. This email will also appear on your public reunion page so attendees can contact you directly.

Reunion Announcement PDF — Click Choose File and select your PDF. Wait for the upload to complete before clicking anything else.

Click Upload and Extract Details.

Review and Correct the Details

The system will read your PDF and extract the event title, date, and location. You will see a confirmation screen showing what it found. Review each field:

  • Event Title — If it shows something generic like "Reunion 2026" instead of your full title, type the correct name here. Maximum 80 characters.
  • Event Date — Check that the date is correct. If blank, type it in — for example: September 17-21, 2026.
  • Location — Check that the city and state are correct.

Make any corrections needed and click Submit Reunion Announcement.

Verify Your Email

You will receive two emails:

Email 1 — Verification — Contains a link to publish your page. Click it within 7 days. If you miss the window, just upload again.

Email 2 — Admin Notification — A copy goes to Blade so he knows a new reunion was submitted.

Click the verification link in Email 1. Your page publishes immediately and you receive a second email containing your private management link.

Your Private Management Link

This link is yours permanently. Bookmark it. It looks something like:

https://skyhawk.org/reunion/manage/xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

Do not share it. Anyone with this link can edit your reunion page. If you lose it, contact Blade.

Updating Your Page

Return to your management link anytime to:

  • Upload a new newsletter PDF — previous newsletters stay on the page, newest shown first
  • Update the event date, location, hotel booking link, or registration link
  • Delete old newsletter PDFs you no longer want displayed

Sending the URL to Attendees

After your page publishes you will receive the public URL in your confirmation email. It will look something like:

https://skyhawk.org/reunion/2026-a-4-skyhawk-reunion-2026

Copy that URL and paste it into your emails, social media posts, or unit newsletters. Anyone who clicks it sees your full reunion page with the embedded PDF, contact information, hotel and registration links.
