 20 JAN 1975: Purchase of 30 new A-4Ms and 6 TA-4s. They were re-designated A-4KU and TA-4KU. 20 JUL 1976: First flight of the A-4KU. 14 DEC 1976: First flight of TA-4KU. 1977: Delivery of all thirty-six aircraft occurred during 1977-78. Early 198x: At least one Skyhawk is lost during operations. 02 AUG 1990 to the completion of "Desert Storm" 28 FEB 1991: Kuwaiti A-4KU Skyhawks fly combat missions against Iraqi Forces. Post Desert Storm: The 23 surviving Kuwatii Skyhawks are placed in storage when replaced by F/A-18C/D Hornets. 1997: 20 A-4KU and 3 TA-4KU aircraft are sold to Brazil. They are shipped to Brazil in September of 1998.  |
