Events October 20, 1969: LCol. Herbert L. Wright, 41, and Lt. Col. Jerry E. Kehrle, 37, ejected safely and were rescued five miles off the Orange County coast Monday after their TA-4F (BuNo 154625) developed control difficulties. Redlands Daily Facts, Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1969. July 3, 1970: Capt. Stephen R. McComb, 27, and 1st Lt James P. Schwartz, 25, both stationed at MCAS El Toro, ejected safely Friday when their TA-4F (BuNo 154644) crashed 30 miles northwest of Crystal Springs enroute from NAS Alameda to Buckley ANG Base in Colorado.
